Breaking has always been more than just dance. It’s about dedication, consistency, and a passion for growth. And recently, I realized something special: over the past three years, I’ve won three different competitions, in three different categories. But the most interesting part wasn’t just winning—it was the prize.
In each of these battles, the prize wasn’t money or just a simple trophy. It was something with a much deeper cultural value: a graffiti artwork created by KLEW, one of the best in Atlanta. And what made it even more exciting was that the only way to get one of these pieces is by winning a breaking competition.
The first was in 2016, at Loose Screws Jam (Atlanta), where @Eli_the_elite and I took the 2 vs 2 title. Then, in 2024, I won the 1 vs 1 at Victory Breaks. And most recently, in 2025, I earned the title of Just For The Record - Cypher King.
Each of these victories represented a different challenge. Different formats, different rivals, and different moments in my career. But one thing remained the same: the feeling of competing for something bigger than just a paycheck. Because in the end, a true b-boy doesn’t compete for money—he competes for the prize, for respect, and for the legacy.
This type of artwork represents our history in the scene. These are unique pieces, created by someone who has witnessed the growth of breaking in the city and has left his mark on it. Owning one of these pieces is an honor, but winning three in three different years and in different categories… that’s something special.
If you’ve ever doubted whether to compete or put your skills to the test in a battle, let me tell you this: do it. Not just for the win, but for the experience, for the growth, and for the opportunities that come with it. Because sometimes,
the best prize isn’t the money—it’s what the prize represents.
